Have you seen this man?

I'm looking for somebody. I don' know who he is, but I do have his picture. I know his name is Satoshi and the picture was taken in Kaysersberg, France. He might live there or he might be a tourist, nobody knows that.
Why am I looking for him? Because his name is the answer to possibly the hardest of all Perplex City puzzlecards. The card is titled "Billion 2 One", and it's meant as a test of the "six degrees of separation" hypothesis. What this means, basically, is that each person on the planet can be linked to each other person through relationships by no more than six people. For example, I know someone who works with a Japanese guy who knows someone in Tokyo who has a cousin named Satoshi and looks exactly like the Billion-2-One guy!
So far, nobody has solved the puzzle. It even has it's own website to collect as many tips as possible. So far the only clues are Satoshi and Kaysersberg. If you know this man, or even better, if you are this man, please let me know!

Wintereenmas is coming!

First of all, a happy new year to everyone. One holiday season may be over, but the next one is already on its way:

WINTER-EEN-MAS!

You all probably think "WTF?" now, unless you're familiar with the webcomic Ctrl-Alt-Del. Ethan, the main character of the comic, was upset about the fact that there's no holiday for gamers, so he invented his own and called it Winter-een-mas. Even though his friends declared him insane, the holiday became a succes and spread around quickly.
The last two years, however, Ethan had to defend his creation from corporate greed. Two years ago, a guy who claimed to have invented Winter-een-mas showed up on tv, in an attempt to steal it and turn it into a cash cow. Last year, the evil corporations that were preying on the holiday kidnapped his girlfriend Lilah and forced him to give them the holiday. He obeyed, but gamers boycotted the commercialization of Winter-een-mas and the company went bankrupt.

So the holiday started in a webcomic. Fans of the comic, however, started celebrating it in real life! Winter-een-mas is a holiday for gamers, by gamers. It even has an official website. The season last all the way through january, while the holiday itself starts january 25 and runs untik januari 31.
So how do gamers celebrate their new holiday? The first thing that springs into mind are LAN-parties, of course. In fact, any game-related activity is a good way to celebrate. It's not limited to computer games, too! Board games and pen-and-paper RPG's are as welcome as computer games. Even other "geeky" activities, like watching anime, have become part of the Winter-een-mas tradition.
