A blast from the past.

Now this is what I call a blast from the past! The following image is a scanned advertisement from the dark ages, probably even predating the Doomozoic era.


What is it? It's a 16K RAM card, and it cost $495 for the cheapest version and $795 for the most expensive. It promised to turn your computer into a "working giant". Here's something I found particularly amusing:
...lets you expand memory far beyond 64K. Not just beyond 64K but FAR beyond it, up to 512K!

And then this one:
...outstanding performance plus obsolescence protection.

Seeing things like that is like opening a time capsule! But what really scares me is the fact that I have a box of computer magazines in the basement with ads just like this. Makes me feel very old.
