This is the end

This is the last post ever on this blog. I would have pulled the plug a long time ago but I kept this blog alive so I could use it to put sponsored articles on it. This has more or less ended so this is the official death of Cookie's World. Maybe I'll start another blog some other day but for now I'm just tired of it.

Dell Computers

One more thing to tell about Dell. They don't just have promotions on printers like I mentioned earlier today, they also have some on computers! When buying a computer, check out some of the offers Dell has. Currently, they have six. Three on home computers and three on business machines. The home systems include a budget PC, an average home PC and a more expensive gaming rig. The business systems consist of a basic office PC, a more powerful workstation for graphical work and a high-end computer for demanding tasks, such as video editing and rendering. All computers can be customized to your wishes, and you can choose wich operating system you want on it.

You just HAVE to see this movie

I have just seen the best movie of my entire life: Office Space. If you are a geek or just hate your job, this is a movie you just have to see. I warn you, I'm gonna talk about what happens in it, so if you don't want to spoil it, stop reading now.
Still with me? Okay! The movie is about a few programmers at a software company. They all hate their jobs. And they hate the printer in the office, because it never seems to work as it should. One day, the company decides to fire some people and that's when they decide to strike back. One of the guys writes some sort of virus that that takes a small amount of money out if every financial transaction and wires it to their bank account. Nobody is supposed to notice it, but of course it doesn't really go as planned.
The opening scene of the movie is something everyone is familiar with. People on their way to work, stuck in traffic. The traffic always seems to go a lot smoother in the other lane, but as soon as you switch to that lane everything jams there too, and the lane you just left starts moving again!
The best scene of the movie, however, is after they installed the virus and got fired. One of the guys took a little something from the office: the printer that always jammed! They decide it's time to take revenge on the infernal machine. They take it into a field and smash it to pieces. Hilarious! Really, watch this movie. You won't regret it.

Dell printers

Dell has a few interesting offers on inkjet printers on their UK website. Currently, they have promotions on four printers, two inkjet printers and two laser printers. The inkjet printers are a standard color inkjet printer, without too many bells and whistles, and a wireless all-in-one unit, wich also scans and copies. Aditional discounts are available when you buy supplies (paper, ink, cables) with the printers.
The laser printers are a standard black and white printer and a workgroup printer, wich has more memory and a larger capacity. Also included is an ethernet cable to connect the printer to a hub or router. For direct connection to a pc, a USB cable is needed.

Storm drain graffiti

Seriously, where do some people keep getting these ideas? Someone in Brazil has been putting incredibly creative graffiti on storm drains. An example of one such artworks:

An there's plenty more where that came from! Check out this website!

Stormtroopers Blast Through Gender Barrier - Femtroopers (PICS)

If you want to check out a very welcome new trend in science fiction fandom (assuming you're a huge geek), then Google the word "Femtroopers." This suddenly makes it a lot easier to defend people who dress up like Star Wars characters..

Worms for the Wii!

Another great game for the Wii has been announced: Worms! I really loved this game on the PC. It will be a 2D game and have online multiplayer. What I liked the most about it were the insane weapons (explosive sheep and old ladies, holy grenades, kamikaze attacks, ...) and the cutscenes with hilarious cartoonish violence between levels. Another game to look forward to!
